Adam Miller

Biography

Adam works in television as a director and show creator, most recently directing The Windsors, Channel 4’s hit royal soap spoof written by George Jeffrie & Bert Tyler Moore. The Windsors was nominated for an RTS award for best comedy and earned Harry Enfield a BAFTA nomination.

He is also the creator and director of the BBC's cult comedy puppet series, Mongrels, which picked up two RTS craft awards and a nomination for best editing over its’ much-loved two series.

His work for the BBC/Hat Trick series Some Girls earned him critical acclaim, with the Radio Times praising his direction as "consistently great”, and gained a Broadcast Award nomination for best comedy and another RTS best editing nomination in the process. 

On the hit BBC 1 sitcom Boomers, Adam worked with an extraordinary ensemble of artists including Alison Steadman, Russ Abbot, Stephanie Beacham, Philip Jackson, June Whitfield, Paula Wilcox, Nigel Planer and many others over its’ two series and Christmas special.

Further directing credits include BBC2’s Taking The Flak, two series of Katy Brand’s Big Ass Show, the BAFTA winning children series Ripley and Scuff, and numerous pilots for Channel 4 and the BBC. These include Flack (Sheridan Smith, Darren Boyd and Phoebe Waller-Bridge) Bump (Katherine Parkinson, Adeel Akhtar and Amber Tamblyn) and the pilot for BBC THREE’s hit online series Witless (Kerry Howard).
